Well let’s kick off this Blog section with a much needed “Get to know me”!
About me:
My names Tom, I’m a 28 DemiMale, DemiSexual, AuDHD nerd who lives in the UK (Hell Island), I like Transformers, Doctor Who, Anime/Manga, Star Wars/Trek, and many other nerd things!
I first got into cosplay/prop making after finding Adam Savage’s “Tested one day builds”, and wanted to get into making props from Transformers and here we are.
What do I use?
Software:
I mainly use Fusion to model my props as that was the first program I taught myself to use, but I use Blender and SculptGL to model some of the more “organic” shaped items.
Hardware:
The printers I use are the Elegoo Saturn 3 (called the Goo Foundry) and Mercury v2 (no name as of yet), the BambuLab A1 (The Crucible), and Anycubic Kobra Max (Makedoria, MHA reference as this printer has been something of a problem child for me).
Do you do any conventions?
Sure do! I mainly attend TFNation during their August main event in Birmingham and their November Mini-Con in Reading
I also sometimes attend MCM London and Salute
Have you ever thought about selling your props?
I have, I have applied to have a stall at TFNs main event and I have sold a couple of my props to folks on BlueSky
I’ll be applying to table at TFN again for their August show with the following as possible items to sell:
